boxed sets a lovely gift

Everyone needs a stash of standby cards in the cupboard. I have been working on some sets of simple birthday cards - 2 male and 2 female. These are lovely with the wooden elements, bright colours and a simple sentiment.   The insides are decorated and all the envelopes are stamped to match each colour card  They come packaged in a cello box of 4 cards. I'll have these sets and many more all occasion cards available at the Christmas Markets this weekend. I can make sets to order for you as well, please feel free to ask I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

CTC#156 Christmas Twist on any item

Welcome back for another week at CTC where we are giving a Christmas twist to a chosen project, so I have chosen a card from page 35 which has a simple design and some self stamping. At this time of year simple is best! I also like that it has a simple colours scheme. Pool Party, Emerald Envy, white and linen thread with a little bit of silver embossing. Both the pool party cards appealed to me. The second option looks at the card lower left, and while mine is still landscape rather that portrait I added the extra elements behind the focal point, and stamped the sentiment on the pool party card rather than the white. I loved using the alcohol blend pens - the new Stampin Blends in the light shade of Pool Party for the outline around the embossed silver lightbulb. It was so easy and quick. The tree has been painted with the aqua painter. The inside just has part of the lightbulb stamped in emerald in the lower corner. Quick and easy.  I hope your Ch

CI #22 and #23 Christmas is so close!

ONLY 5 WEEKS till Christmas! Yikes! with so much happening at this time of year we have 2 colour schemes and 3 weeks to play along- sounds good to me!  I have chosen to go with the more traditional colour scheme of #23 but have tried to keep it simple and use some of my non christmas stamps! So I have used the gorgeous sunrays image from the Wherever You Go set, and the gorgeous red stars from the Stitched Felt Embellishments. At this time of year we all need to make use of shortcuts- and a ready embellishment works for me. I have 2 designs and used the crumbcake for the starlight on the first one, and real red for the second one layer card. The little sentiment flag comes from Teeny Tiny Sentiments which is an old favourite and go-to set for me and I only inked up the single word.  This is the alternative colour scheme which also appeals but I ran out of time this week. Hope you can create something to share with us on our Facebook page. Next on the hop

CTC#155 Gift packaging - one of my favourite things!

Welcome back for CTC#155 I just love gift wrapping. A little while ago I had a few years away from nursing and worked in a gourmet food and giftware shop. We used to make and wrap loads of hampers and gifts. I learnt a lot from my good friend Deanne, and my favourite thing was wrapping wedding presents. Stampin' Up! offers so many options for gift wrapping that I just couldn't miss out on this week's challenge. I have taken inspiration from lots of the packaging samples in the catalogues but my main focus is from page 56 in the Annual Catalogue where they have used the Memories and More cards from the Petal Garden Suite as part of the decoration to the front of a box, with ribbon wrapped twice around and secured with a mini bulldog clip. I needed a few gifts this week and already had the packs of cards made, so I quickly made up a box from Cardstock , wrapped some ribbon around and pinned on a few cards with some ribbon and mini sequin trim. I sealed the top of th

CTC#154 - CASEing a colouring project

welcome back - what a brilliant weekend. Many of us have been at Stampin' Up!'s amazing event for some inspiration and to get some education and a look at the new products and promotions which are coming. It's always an amazing opportunity to catch up with fellow crafters who are just as passionate about paper crafting and creativity. I love the feeling of friendship and inclusion that such an occasion brings. Typically attendees make samples and swap them as a way of sharing ideas and making connections. I ran out of time to make any swaps this year but I did make a few little thankyou cards which I would have used if I'd had enough time to make a few more. I have CASEd the little girl card in the top right of this picture and had some fun using the Colour Me Happy set and the new Stampin Blends alcohol markers. They are so easy to use - even for a person like me who doesn't colour very much. Not the greatest photos -sorry Ne
