Fancy folds Card Class, Best of Everything gets Trifold, Hello gets a Twisted Easel

Cards with folds are always interesting and in my latest class we made 4 different varieties. I don't know the correct names for them all but it was fun.

Earlier posts show the trifold card I made for Easter ( one with Summer Silhouettes, the other with Established Elegance sets) , and this one is a bright fresh colour combo with Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade and the Best of Everything Set. I used the same measurements as before and instructions are on that page. This one has a completely different look - it's amazing how changing colours and stamping images can completely transform a card's look.

The next one was a Twisted Easel Card, and I first saw this at Brisbane Regionals last year. I loved it and took some photos and came home and experimented with it. I used Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi and a touch of Regal Rose ( I am sad this colour is retiring soon!) The stamp set is My Friend which is always very striking for it's simplicity. I apologise for the ordinary photography but that is not one of my better talents!...

The card base is a strip of Calypso Coral 10.5 cm by 28cm, scored at 14cm for standard centre fold.
There is only one other score line. With the card closed and the spine on the left it is a mountain fold from the base of the spine  ( ie bottom left corner) to the top right corner of the card front.
Wild Wasabi Mat is 10cm x 13.5cm
Very vanilla mat for Inside is the same 10cm x 13.5cm
Very Vanilla for Front stamped image is 9.5cm x 13cm
Anchor inside is 3 layers with stampin dimensionals between .
To attach the stamped and matted card front I put glue onto the lower triangle of Calyspo Coral and then put the wasabi mat down on the glue, this stops me from getting confused and glueing it  in the wrong spot.... ask me how I know this!!
The position of the anchor is up to you, but it is a card that doesn't allow too much room for writing any text so some experimenting is necessary.  It may also need instructions on how to stand it up for some recipients!!!
Hope that helps you have a go at this very easy card.

Thanks for looking, Liz

Score on the card front goes from bottom left corner to top right corner.
Anchor on the inside is 3 layers, green circle with 13/8"punch,  mini scallop (11/4" I think) and stamp set from Christmas mini 2012 up on dimensional, and centre 3/4" circle punch also up on dimensional.

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car

#Onstage Sydney 2022 Fancy Flora Suite , Display Stamping # 1 beginner, casual, avid samples

I'm so honoured to have been asked to present the premier suite "Fancy Flora" from the new Mini Catalogue - what a treat. ( Available January 5 - May 12023 ). This is one of a series of posts showing some of the projects I created using this suite. It's a long one so grab a cuppa and enjoy my tips and tricks and first projects. Relieved the presentation is over and with my samples on the board! Firstly I had the pleasure of showing the suite- 2 stampsets, 2 sets of dies, some 6x6 DSP, Shimmer Card, Ribbon and Gems. With every new set I allow myself plenty of time to just play with it and explore the possibilities in colour and layout. In doing this I create a series of Mood boards that make it much faster when I come to use the product to quickly identify how many dies in each set, how many stamps and which ones match the dies, and which ribbons and bling I have in my stash- or in the current catalogues that match the colours of the new suite. That way I don't for
