Father's Day newsflash for Pals Paper Arts#315, Z fold tutorial

There are lots of double Z-fold cards around at the moment and I particularly like this one because it's small and you can get two cards from one sheet of A4 cardstock.

These instructions are for :
One envelope and one card from one sheet of DSP and half a sheet of A4 card.
It's also a great size because you can make the envelope from a square 17.5cm x 17.5 cm (6 7/8" ),
Punch and Score at 9cm
and you can use the balance of the sheet of 12x12 to decorate the card front and inside.
Cut 2 pieces of  DSP from the remaining piece 10 x 10cm and 10 x 5cm. (if you cut a 10cm strip then just trim your 2 pieces from this)
The finished card size is 10.5 x 10.5cm

Essentially you take a piece of A4 cardstock, place portrait and score at
5.25 cm and 10.5cm -- it's very handy that these measurements are already there on your metric scoring plate
Rotate to Landscape and cut 2 pieces at 10.5cm,  and 2 strips at 2.5cm.
Voila- 2 card bases and a leftover strip.

I used the tutorial from Amanda Bates here

I do love all the colours so it wasn't too hard to put them together.

To get the extra gloss on the camera I have heat embossed with clear powder over the coloured image. And to get the glitz on the flash I have added gold wink of stella on then sun ray image from Kinda Eclectic.

I do love the bright and fun sentiments in the Pun Intended set.
Thanks for looking, I will have some more samples of this design coming up.
EDITED, you can see more samples here and here

  1. Liz, this card is great! I will have to try this fun fold... it does make an impact in presentation. Your choice of DSPs to go along with your bold use of color is so fun. Thanks for including the PPA color challenge in your stamping fun this week. Hope to see you in our gallery often!

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car
